Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 33:6-d
- Municipality: or "municipal corporation" town, city, school district or village district. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 33:1
- Net indebtedness: all outstanding and authorized indebtedness, heretofore or hereafter incurred by a municipality, exclusive of the following: unmatured tax anticipation notes issued according to law. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 33:1
Municipalities may incur debt for cleanup projects pursuant to RSA 147-B, excluding Superfund sites, and for the closing or cleanup of landfills and other solid waste facilities as defined in N.H. Rev. Stat. Chapter 149-M by the issue of bonds or notes authorized under this chapter and N.H. Rev. Stat. § 149-M:30. Any debt incurred for this purpose shall be outside the debt limit prescribed in this chapter. Such debt shall at no time be included in the net indebtedness of any municipality for the purposes of determining its borrowing capacity.
