Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 383-A:7-703
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

In addition to the commissioner’s authority under N.H. Rev. Stat. § 383-A:9, the insurance commissioner may issue a cease and desist order, as provided in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 400-A:10, against any person which engages in any act or conduct in violation of N.H. Rev. Stat. § 383-A:7-702 involving a state bank or credit union under the jurisdiction of the insurance commissioner and may bring legal action to enforce the order.
