Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 40:56-41.4

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
Deferment of payment of a local improvement assessment pursuant to this act shall not enlarge the time within which the owner of the land may appeal from the levy of the assessment.
