Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 4:10-42
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
Should any section or provision of this act be held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the validity of the act as a whole or any other part thereof shall not be affected.
