Any person providing coverage for health care benefits as described in Section 59A- 15-16 NMSA 1978 who is unable to demonstrate under Section 59A-15-17 N.M. Stat. Ann. that he is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of another agency of this state or the federal government shall submit to an examination by the superintendent in accordance with N.M. Stat. Ann. Chapter 59A, Article 4 to determine the organization and financial condition of the provider and his compliance with the applicable provisions of the Insurance Code.
