§ 701. Definitions. As used in this article the following terms shall mean:

- council: means the most integrated setting coordinating council. See N.Y. Executive Law 701
- disability: means , with respect to an individual:
(a) a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities of such individual;
(b) a record of such an impairment; or
(c) being regarded as having such an impairment. See N.Y. Executive Law 701 - most integrated setting: means a setting that is appropriate to the needs of the individual with the disability and enables that individual to interact with nondisabled persons to the fullest extent possible. 1. "council" means the most integrated setting coordinating council.
2. "disability" means, with respect to an individual:
(a) a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities of such individual;
(b) a record of such an impairment; or
(c) being regarded as having such an impairment.
3. "most integrated setting" means a setting that is appropriate to the needs of the individual with the disability and enables that individual to interact with nondisabled persons to the fullest extent possible.
