§ 139-a. Presentation of claims for torts; actions against counties. 1. Any claim including a claim specified in § 139-e of the general municipal law.
Terms Used In N.Y. Highway Law 139-A
- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
2. Every action upon such claim shall be commenced pursuant to the provisions of § 50-i of the general municipal law.
3. This section shall not apply to actions upon claims for damages or compensation for property taken by condemnation for any public purpose.
