§ 1276-d. Independent audit by the legislature. After the submission of the annual independent audit report to the legislature pursuant to section two thousand eight hundred two of this chapter, and after review of such report, the temporary president of the senate and the speaker of the assembly may commission an auditing firm, every two years, after the year two thousand nine, to conduct an independent audit of the authority, including its subsidiaries. The temporary president of the senate and the speaker of the assembly shall set the scope of such audit, and determine the terms of the request for proposal for such audit. Such audit shall be performed for the year two thousand nine. The authority shall fully cooperate with and assist in such an audit.
