As used in this Article:
(1) “Department” means the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 106-941
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Department: means the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. See North Carolina General Statutes 106-941
- Forest ranger: means a forest ranger designated under N. See North Carolina General Statutes 106-941
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- Woodland: means woodland as defined in N. See North Carolina General Statutes 106-941
(2) “Forest ranger” means a forest ranger designated under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 106-896(3).
(3) “Person” means any individual, firm, partnership, corporation, association, public or private institution, political subdivision, or government agency.
(4) “Woodland” means woodland as defined in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 106-904 (1981, c. 1100, s. 2; 1989, c. 727, s. 218(53); 1991 (Reg. Sess., 1992), c. 890, s. 3; 1997-443, s. 11A.119(a); 2011-145, ss. 13.25(w), (x); 2017-108, s. 12(e).)
