- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. The Department shall require county departments of social services to comply with quality assurance minimum standards set forth in rule. The quality assurance standards shall be based upon best practices and shall be developed by the Department in consultation with the State Auditor. (2017-57, s. 11H.22(c).)
