Except as provided in sections 3345.22 to 3345.24 of the Revised Code, a state university, as defined in section 3345.011 of the Revised Code, shall provide a student who is subject to a disciplinary action by the university with a notice of the disciplinary action, the reasons for that disciplinary action, and the student’s right to appeal the disciplinary action under this section. If the student elects to appeal the disciplinary action, the state university shall afford the student with a fair and impartial hearing within a reasonable time thereafter under regular procedures of the state university.

Terms Used In Ohio Code 3345.241

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • state: means the state of Ohio. See Ohio Code 1.59
