(A)(1) No towing service shall knowingly offer or provide monetary compensation in exchange for the authorization to tow motor vehicles from a specified location or on behalf of the person to whom the towing service offered or provided the compensation.

- Person: includes an individual, corporation, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, and association. See Ohio Code 1.59
- Whoever: includes all persons, natural and artificial; partners; principals, agents, and employees; and all officials, public or private. See Ohio Code 1.02
(2) Division (A)(1) of this section does not prohibit a towing service from negotiating or reducing towing and storage fees.
(B) Whoever violates division (A) of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
