For the purposes of section 2305.51 of the Revised Code, a person who holds a license issued under this chapter is a mental health professional.

- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- Person: includes an individual, corporation, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, and association. See Ohio Code 1.59
A license holder is not liable in damages in a civil action, and shall not be subject to disciplinary action by the counselor, social worker, and marriage and family therapist board, for disclosing any confidential information about a client that is disclosed for the purposes of section 2305.51 of the Revised Code.
