No person or public agency shall tamper with or damage any sanitary or drainage facility or any prevention or replacement facility acquired or constructed by a county under this chapter or any apparatus or accessory connected with it or pertaining to it, or make any connection into or with the facility, without the permission of the board of county commissioners or in a manner or for a use other than as prescribed by the board. No person or public agency shall refuse to permit the inspection by the county sanitary engineer of any such connection. No person or public agency shall violate any other provision of this chapter.

Terms Used In Ohio Code 6117.45

  • County sanitary engineer: means either of the following:

    (a) The registered professional engineer employed or appointed by the board of county commissioners to be the county sanitary engineer as provided in this section3;

    (b) The county engineer, if, for as long as and to the extent that engineer by agreement entered into under section 315. See Ohio Code 6117.01

  • Person: includes an individual, corporation, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, and association. See Ohio Code 1.59
  • Public agency: means a state and any agency or subdivision of a state, including a county, a municipal corporation, or other subdivision. See Ohio Code 6117.01

All fines collected under section 6117.99 of the Revised Code shall be paid to the county treasurer and credited to the fund that the board determines to be most appropriate after consideration of the nature and extent of the particular violations.
