If a proceeding is pending against a protected person at the time of appointment of a conservator or is commenced against the protected person after appointment of a conservator, the plaintiff must give notice of the proceeding to the conservator or the attorney of the conservator if any judgment or order arising out of the proceeding will constitute a claim against the estate. [1995 c.664 § 55]
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 125.505
- Conservator: means a person appointed as a conservator under the provisions of this chapter. See Oregon Statutes 125.005
- Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
- Plaintiff: The person who files the complaint in a civil lawsuit.
- Protected person: means a person for whom a protective order has been entered. See Oregon Statutes 125.005
