Oregon Statutes 292.428 – Cost of living adjustment for judicial salaries
(1) Annual salaries of judges of the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals, circuit courts and the Oregon Tax Court established under ORS § 292.406, 292.411, 292.416 and 292.426 shall be adjusted to reflect the same percentage amount of any positive cost of living adjustment granted to employees in the management service in the executive department.
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 292.428
- executive department: means all statewide elected officers other than judges, and all boards, commissions, departments, divisions and other entities, without regard to the designation given to those entities, that are within the executive branch of government as described in Article III, section 1, of the Oregon Constitution, and that are not:
(a) In the judicial department or the legislative department;
(b) Local governments; or
(c) Special government bodies. See Oregon Statutes 174.112
(2) The adjustment described in subsection (1) of this section shall occur at the same time that salaries of employees in the management service in the executive department are adjusted.
(3) As used in this section:
(a) ‘Executive department’ has the meaning given that term in ORS § 174.112.
(b) ‘Management service’ means the management service as provided in ORS § 240.212. [2015 c.840 § 27]
