ORS § 427.235 to 427.292 do not permit a court to order an involuntary commitment of a minor child to the Department of Human Services without the consent of the minor child’s parent or legal guardian. [2023 c.339 § 2]
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 427.292
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
- Minor: means an unmarried person under 18 years of age. See Oregon Statutes 427.005
