Relevant official records and files of the Departments of the Army, Navy and Air Force of the United States shall be accorded prima facie probative value in evidence before any court or agency in which there is an issue of fact as to the death or disappearance of any person while serving in or with the Armed Forces of the United States.

Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 43.450

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
  • United States: includes territories, outlying possessions and the District of Columbia. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
