(1) ORS § 735.400 to 735.495 shall be known and may be cited as ‘The Oregon Surplus Lines Law.’
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 735.495
- Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
(2) If any provisions of ORS § 735.400 to 735.495, or the application of such provision to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the remainder of ORS § 735.400 to 735.495 and the application of such provision to persons or circumstances other than those as to which it is held invalid, shall not be affected.
