A lien created by ORS § 87.226 ceases to attach to a crop that is agricultural produce as defined in ORS § 87.700 and is in the possession of a purchaser, or to the proceeds of the sale of the crop to a third party, if the purchaser pays the agricultural producer in full for the crop and the claim for the lien is not filed under ORS § 87.242 prior to the date of that payment.
