The police commissioners of any city or town having a police commission, and the chief of police of any other city or town, may designate certain streets in the city or town as curfew streets. No minor under sixteen (16) years of age shall be allowed to loiter on any curfew street after 9 o’clock (9:00) p.m., unless accompanied by some adult person.

Terms Used In Rhode Island General Laws 11-9-11
- Person: means any individual person, firm, fiduciary, partnership, trust, association, or corporation licensed as a retail dealer to sell tobacco products within the state. See Rhode Island General Laws 11-9-13.4
- town: may be construed to include city; the words "town council" include city council; the words "town clerk" include city clerk; the words "ward clerk" include clerk of election district; the words "town treasurer" include city treasurer; and the words "town sergeant" include city sergeant.
