Rhode Island General Laws 23-1.1-13. Penalties

(a) Any person who gives advance notice of any inspection to be conducted under this chapter, without authority from the director of labor and training, shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) or by imprisonment for not more than one year, or by both.

Terms Used In Rhode Island General Laws 23-1.1-13

Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
Director: means the director of health or his or her duly authorized representative. See Rhode Island General Laws 23-1.1-1
person: may be construed to extend to and include co-partnerships and bodies corporate and politic. See Rhode Island General Laws 43-3-6

(b) All other penalties shall be assessed in accordance with § 28-20-18.
