Any person, firm, or corporation aggrieved by a decision of the director pursuant to this chapter has the right to an appeal in accordance with the procedures contained within chapter 35 of Title 42.

Terms Used In Rhode Island General Laws 24-8-36
- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- person: may be construed to extend to and include co-partnerships and bodies corporate and politic. See Rhode Island General Laws 43-3-6
