Rhode Island General Laws 28-37-2. Custodian – Orders for payments
The general treasurer shall be the custodian of the fund; and the state controller is authorized and empowered to draw orders upon the general treasurer upon the receipt of duly authenticated vouchers. The general treasurer shall give bond with corporate security conditioned on the faithful performance of his or her duties as custodian of the fund, in a form prescribed by statute and approved by the attorney general, and in an amount specified by the director of administration. All premiums upon bonds required pursuant to this chapter shall be paid from the workers’ compensation administrative fund.
