(a) Upon the filing of a petition for the appointment of a guardian under this chapter, notice shall be given to the ward, to any other persons, and in any manner as is provided by the general law of this state, and also to the veterans administration as provided by this chapter.
Terms Used In Rhode Island General Laws 33-16-12
- Person: means an individual, a partnership, a corporation or an association. See Rhode Island General Laws 33-16-2
- Veterans administration: means the veterans administration, its predecessors or successors. See Rhode Island General Laws 33-16-2
- Ward: means a beneficiary of the veterans administration. See Rhode Island General Laws 33-16-2
(b) Where no person is designated to give a notice required by this section, the clerk of the proper court shall give the requisite notice.
