Rhode Island General Laws 34-19-2. Issuance of summons to defendant
The court shall also make out a summons to the party complained against in the form following:

(SEAL) To the sheriff of the county of ………. or ………. to his or her deputy, ………. Greeting:
We command you that you summon ………. of ………. to appear before our superior court at ………. in our county of ………. on the …… day of ………. at ………. o’clock (?:?) in the ………. noon, then and there to answer to and defend against the complaint of ………. there exhibited: ………. wherein ………. complains that (here recite the complaint); and you are to make return of this writ with your doings thereon unto our the court upon or before the such day.
