Terms Used In South Carolina Code 12-28-2750

  • Gasoline: means all products commonly or commercially known or sold as gasoline that are suitable for use as a motor fuel. See South Carolina Code 12-28-110
  • Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
  • User fees: Fees charged to users of goods or services provided by the government. In levying or authorizing these fees, the legislature determines whether the revenue should go into the treasury or should be available to the agency providing the goods or services.
Subject to the provisions of § 12-28-2910, the remainder of the proceeds from the gasoline and fuel user fees levied and provided for in this chapter must be remitted to the State Highway Fund.
