- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
A public official or custodian of public records who refuses or wilfully neglects to perform any duty required of him by §§ 30-1-10 through 30-1-140, including the transfer of records to storage facilities approved by the Archives, is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, must be fined not less than two hundred dollars nor more than five thousand dollars.
