Terms Used In South Carolina Code 35-11-715
- Commissioner: means the South Carolina Attorney General. See South Carolina Code 35-11-105
- Person: means an individual, corporation, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, limited-liability company, association, joint venture, government, governmental subdivision, agency or instrumentality, public corporation, or another legal or commercial entity. See South Carolina Code 35-11-105
The commissioner may enter into a consent order at any time with a person to resolve a matter arising pursuant to this chapter or a rule adopted or order issued pursuant to this chapter. A consent order must be signed by the person to whom it is issued or by the person’s authorized representative, and must indicate agreement with the terms contained in the order. A consent order may provide that it does not constitute an admission by a person that this chapter or a rule adopted or an order issued pursuant to this chapter has been violated.
