Terms Used In South Carolina Code 40-69-80
- Board: means the South Carolina State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. See South Carolina Code 40-69-20
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- Subpoena: A command to a witness to appear and give testimony.
As provided in § 40-1-80, for the purpose of conducting an investigation under this chapter, the board or a person designated by the board may subpoena witnesses, take evidence, and require the production of documents or records which the board considers relevant to the inquiry.
