Terms Used In South Carolina Code 40-75-140
- License: means an authorization to practice counseling, marriage and family therapy, issued by the board pursuant to this article and includes an authorization to practice as a professional counselor associate, marriage and family therapy associate, or addiction counselor associate. See South Carolina Code 40-75-20
- Person: means an individual, organization, or corporation, except that only individuals can be licensed under this article. See South Carolina Code 40-75-20
A license may not be denied based solely on a person‘s prior criminal record as provided for in § 40-1-140.
