Terms Used In South Carolina Code 40-75-150
- License: means an authorization to practice counseling, marriage and family therapy, issued by the board pursuant to this article and includes an authorization to practice as a professional counselor associate, marriage and family therapy associate, or addiction counselor associate. See South Carolina Code 40-75-20
- Licensee: means an individual who has met the requirements for licensure under this article and has been issued a license to practice as a professional counselor or professional counselor associate, marriage and family therapist or marriage and family therapy associate, or addiction counselor associate. See South Carolina Code 40-75-20
A licensee under investigation for a violation of this chapter or a regulation promulgated under this chapter may voluntarily surrender the license in accordance with § 40-1-150.
