Notwithstanding any inconsistent law with respect to survival of civil actions, the three-year period for filing a civil action as provided by § 29-13-403(b) does not begin to run until:

- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Defendant: In a civil suit, the person complained against; in a criminal case, the person accused of the crime.
- Defendant: means a person who:
(A) Is convicted of a crime in this state. See Tennessee Code 29-13-402 - Escrow: Money given to a third party to be held for payment until certain conditions are met.
- Reporter: Makes a record of court proceedings and prepares a transcript, and also publishes the court's opinions or decisions (in the courts of appeals).
