Terms Used In Tennessee Code 42-2-223
- Aeronautics: means :
(A) The science and art of flight, including, but not limited to, transportation by aircraft. See Tennessee Code 42-2-101 - Airport: means any area of land or water that is used, or intended for use, for the landing and taking off of aircraft, and any appurtenant areas that are used, or intended for use, for airport buildings or other airport facilities or avigation easements or rights-of-way, together with all airport buildings and facilities located on such areas, easements or rights-of-way. - Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Department: means the department of transportation. See Tennessee Code 42-2-101
- Municipality: means any county, incorporated city, incorporated town, authority, district or other political subdivision or public corporation of this state. See Tennessee Code 42-2-101
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
