(a) Sections 4-5-322, 4-5-323, 65-2-101 – 65-2-109, and 65-2-112 – 65-2-121 shall also apply to the department of transportation and all procedures and proceedings of such department for the purposes of all matters within the jurisdiction of the department.

Terms Used In Tennessee Code 42-2-224

  • Department: means the department of transportation. See Tennessee Code 42-2-101
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
(b) “Commission,” as used in the sections referred to in subsection (a), means the department of transportation.
