Tennessee Code 71-1-102 – Part definitions

As used in this part, unless the context otherwise requires:

(1) “Commissioner” means the commissioner of human services;

Commissioner: means the commissioner of human services. See Tennessee Code 71-1-102
Department: means the department of human services. See Tennessee Code 71-1-102
Director: means the director of a division within the department. See Tennessee Code 71-1-102
Division: means one (1) of the divisions created within the department of human services for the purposes of administration. See Tennessee Code 71-1-102
Region: means one (1) or more counties grouped for the purpose of local administration. See Tennessee Code 71-1-102

(2) “Department” means the department of human services;

(3) “Director” means the director of a division within the department;

(4) “Division” means one (1) of the divisions created within the department of human services for the purposes of administration;

(5) “Region” means one (1) or more counties grouped for the purpose of local administration; and

(6) “Regional director” means the director of a region.
