Terms Used In Michigan Laws 322.101

  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories.      That the certificates of the secretary of the treasury of the United States, of his approval, or the certificates and letters of the commissioner of the general land office of the United States of the approval by the secretary of the treasury of the selection of any lands heretofore granted, or which hereafter may be granted by the congress of the United States to this state, and which certificates and letters have been or hereafter may be received by the secretary of state, shall, together with their accompanying lists or descriptions of land be recorded by him in a book kept for that purpose.
