Terms Used In Michigan Laws 322.5
- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
- person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, as well as to individuals. See Michigan Laws 8.3l
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. The money derived from such lease or sale, after the payment of the costs and expenses of such lease or sale, shall be paid into the state treasury and credited to the account of the general fund or to such other fund as the same would be credited had the amount been received as reimbursement directly from the person or persons liable for the care or medical treatment rendered in any Michigan state hospital or institution.
