Terms Used In Michigan Laws 395.88
- Bequest: Property gifted by will.
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
- State board: means the state board of education. See Michigan Laws 395.82
The state board may accept and use gifts made by bequest or otherwise for carrying out the purposes of this act. Gifts made under such conditions as in the judgment of the state board are proper and consistent with the provisions of this act may be so accepted and shall be held, invested, reinvested and used in accordance with the conditions of the gifts.
