Terms Used In Michigan Laws 600.2110
- Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. The record of deeds or other instruments affecting the title to lands in this state heretofore recorded in counties in any state other than the county in which the lands described therein are located, or a certified copy thereof, shall be deemed prima facie evidence of the execution and delivery of such instrument, and as such shall be received in all courts in this state, and such certified copy may be recorded in the county in which such land is situated, with like effect as the original deed or other instrument.
