- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. Printed copies of schedules and classifications and tariffs of rates, fares and charges, and supplements thereto, filed with any federal or state regulatory commission, which show respectively the number assigned to them by such commission which may be stated in abbreviated form, and an effective date, may be received in evidence without certification, and shall be presumed to be correct copies of the original schedules, classifications, tariffs, and supplements on file with such commission.
