In addition to any other remedy, the attorney general, the municipal attorney of the municipality in which a violation under § 16.352 occurs, or the county or district attorney of the county in which a violation under § 16.352 occurs may apply to a district court for, and the district court may grant, monetary damages to cover the cost of enforcing this subchapter, rules adopted under this subchapter, or Subchapter B or C, Chapter 232, Local Government Code.
