(1) As used in this chapter, “state institution of higher education” means an institution described in Section 53B-2-101 or any other university or college that is established and maintained by the state.
Terms Used In Utah Code 53B-3-102
- Board: means the Utah Board of Higher Education described in Section 53B-1-402. See Utah Code 53B-1-101.5
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- state institution of higher education: means an institution described in Section 53B-2-101 or any other university or college that is established and maintained by the state. See Utah Code 53B-3-102
(2) A state institution of higher education includes:
(2)(a) a branch or affiliated institution; or
(2)(b) a campus or facilities owned, operated, or controlled by the governing board of the state institution of higher education.
