(1) Subject to prioritization of the Audit Subcommittee, the Office of the Legislative Auditor General established under Section 36-12-15 shall in any fiscal year:

- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- Performance: means total performance across the metrics described in Section
53B-7-706 . See Utah Code 53B-7-702
(1)(a) conduct an audit of money appropriated for performance funding; and
(1)(b) prepare and submit a written report for an audit described in this section in accordance with Section 36-12-15.
(2) An audit described in this section shall include:
(2)(a) an evaluation of the implementation of performance funding; and
(2)(b) the use of performance funding.
