(1) There is created in the General Fund a restricted account known as the “Amusement Ride Safety Restricted Account.”

Terms Used In Utah Code 72-16-204

  • Account: means the Amusement Ride Safety Restricted Account created in Section 72-16-204. See Utah Code 72-16-102
  • Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization
  • Committee: means the Utah Amusement Ride Safety Committee created in Section 72-16-201. See Utah Code 72-16-102

     (2)(a) The account is funded from:

          (2)(a)(i) fees collected by the committee under this chapter;
          (2)(a)(ii) money appropriated by the Legislature; and
          (2)(a)(iii) interest earned on money in the account.
     (2)(b) Appropriations made from the account are nonlapsing.
(3) Subject to appropriation, the committee may use the money deposited into the account to pay for the administration of this chapter.
