(1) As used in this section, “generative artificial intelligence” means the same as that term is defined in Section 13-2-12 .
Terms Used In Utah Code 76-2-107
- Actor: means a person whose criminal responsibility is in issue in a criminal action. See Utah Code 76-1-101.5
- Offense: means a violation of any penal statute of this state. See Utah Code 76-1-101.5
(2) An actor may be found guilty of an offense if:
(2)(a) the actor commits the offense with the aid of a generative artificial intelligence; or
(2)(b) the actor intentionally prompts or otherwise causes a generative artificial intelligence to commit the offense.
