As used in this part:

(1) “State” means:

Terms Used In Utah Code 80-2-901

  • Division: means the Division of Child and Family Services created in Section 80-2-201. See Utah Code 80-2-102
  • State: means :
         (1)(a) a state of the United States;
         (1)(b) the District of Columbia;
         (1)(c) the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico;
         (1)(d) the Virgin Islands;
         (1)(e) Guam;
         (1)(f) the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands; or
         (1)(g) a territory or possession administered by the United States. See Utah Code 80-2-901
  • United States: includes each state, district, and territory of the United States of America. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
     (1)(a) a state of the United States;
     (1)(b) the District of Columbia;
     (1)(c) the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico;
     (1)(d) the Virgin Islands;
     (1)(e) Guam;
     (1)(f) the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands; or
     (1)(g) a territory or possession administered by the United States.
(2) “State plan” means the written description of the programs for children, youth, and family services administered by the division in accordance with federal law.
