Terms Used In Utah Code > Title 63A > Chapter 16 > Part 10 - Criminal and Juvenile Justice Database
- Agency: means a board, commission, institution, department, division, officer, council, office, committee, bureau, or other administrative unit of the state, including the agency head, agency employees, or other persons acting on behalf of or under the authority of the agency head, the Legislature, the courts, or the governor, but does not mean a political subdivision of the state, or any administrative unit of a political subdivision of the state. - Commission: means the State Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice created in Section
63M-7-201 . See Utah Code 63A-16-1001 - Department: means the Department of Government Operations. See Utah Code 63A-1-103
- Division: means the Division of Technology Services created in Section
63A-16-103 . See Utah Code 63A-16-1001 - Grant: means a grant awarded under Section
63A-16-1003 . See Utah Code 63A-16-1001 - Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
- Process: means a writ or summons issued in the course of a judicial proceeding. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Program: means the public safety portal grant program created in Section
