Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 6 Sec. 2704

  • handler: is a person, firm, unincorporated association, or corporation engaged in the business of buying, selling, assembling, packaging, or processing milk or other dairy products for sale within the State of Vermont or outside the State. See
  • Secretary: means Secretary of Agriculture, Food and Markets or his or her authorized agent. See
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See
  • Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.

§ 2704. Trustee of handlers’ bonds

All bonds or other securities required and furnished under the provisions of this part shall be given to the Secretary as trustee for each and all of the producers in this State and shall be conditioned for the faithful performance by the handler of all the acts prescribed and all the conditions imposed upon the handler by this part, and for compliance by the handler of all the general laws of this State now in force or hereafter enacted and rules adopted under those general laws.
