Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 6 Sec. 3313

  • Inspector: means an employee or official of the State of Vermont authorized by the Secretary or any employee or official of the federal government or of any other governmental entity of this State, authorized by the Secretary to perform any inspection functions under this chapter under an agreement between the Secretary and the governmental entity. See
  • Licensed establishment: means any person required to hold a license under section 3306 of this title. See
  • Official establishment: means any establishment as determined by the Secretary at which inspection of the slaughter of livestock or poultry or the preparation of livestock products or poultry products is maintained under the authority of this chapter. See
  • seal: shall include an impression of the official seal made upon paper alone or by means of a wafer or wax affixed thereto. See

§ 3313. Inspection and seal

(a) No inspection of products placed in any container at any official establishment shall be deemed to be complete until the products are sealed or enclosed under the supervision of an inspector.

(b) For purposes of any inspection of products required by this chapter, inspectors shall have access at all times, by day or night, to any part of an establishment required to have inspection under this chapter, whether the establishment is operated or not.

(c) For purposes of any periodic review of any licensed establishment, inspectors shall have access during normal business hours to every part of a licensed establishment required to have inspection under this chapter, whether the establishment is operated or not.
